This summer school aims to introduce Ph.D. students and early postdocs to a broad range of artificial intelligence (AI) techniques used to accelerate materials discovery. The week long program will provide a solid foundation in the use of AI, and it will cover topics from basic techniques to state of the art machine learning potentials and active learning techniques. The final two days will highlight recent research efforts in the field. All lectures will be given by renowned researchers in the fields, and include two hands-on sessions to give the students practical experience with AI.
The Dalí Theatre-Museum was inaugurated in 1974 and is considered to be the last great work of Salvador Dalí. Everything in the museum was designed and conceived by Dalí and offers visitors a glimpse of his unique and captivating world. The museum's collection showcases Dalí's artistic journey throughout his life from his first artistic experiences to his nuclear mysticism and his passion of science.
The Max Planck Research Network on big-data-driven materials science, BiGmax, is looking back at five successful years, and celebrating the past and ongoing collaborations with a “Grand Finale BiGmax Workshop.” This workshop is held jointly with this summer school.
The BiGmax workshop starts on Wednesday May 24, 2023 at 2:00 pm with the above noted Excursion to the Dali-Theatre Museum and at 9:00 pm with a conference dinner. The workshop then continues on Thursday and Friday.
These fees cover the hotel rooms, all meals from Sunday's dinner to Fridays breakfast, the social excursion, and transportation to and from Barcelona-El Prat Airport.
