Advanced Electronic-Structure Methods

Xinguo Ren and Matthias Scheffler

Home

The Partner Group for Advanced Electronic-Structure Methods was established between the group of Prof. Xinguo Ren at Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing and Prof. Matthias Scheffler and his NOMAD group at the Fritz Haber Institute (FHI) of the Max Planck Society in Berlin. The Partner Group officially started in September 2015, and is devoted to developing and implementing advanced electronic-structure methods that are both accurate and tractable for materials science (see Mission). The planned research is a continuation and extension of Dr. Ren's work with Prof. Scheffler when he was at the Fritz Haber Institute (2006-2012). Some of the previous publications can be found here.
