The International Workshop on Multiscale Materials Modeling (IWoM3) will take place in Berlin-Dahlem at the Harnack-House from Tuesday, March 10, 3:30 p.m. to Friday, March 13, 12:30 p.m. The meeting aims at strengthening the interdisciplinary character, international visibility, and educational profile of the MMM-initiative. This initiative aims to bring together groups in the MPG with expertise in condensed matter modeling at the different time and length scales from the electron to the continuum theory of matter. The workshop correspondingly gathers leading scientists with a strong background in condensed matter modeling from seemingly different areas such as physics, material sciences, mathematics, chemistry, and biomaterials to discuss the frontiers and challenges in the field. The workshop program will consist of keynote lectures by external speakers and talks by members of the MMM-initiative. All participants are furthermore encouraged to present their work in a poster session. The workshop size will be restricted to 60 attendees in order to keep a good discussion atmosphere. |
