Support
We have some limited financial support available for conference participants through our sponsors, particularly for students and young postdocs.
The amount of support required should be specified with the application (see below). For most granted support requests, we anticipate to be able to cover at most (part of) the local costs, while travel costs should normally be covered by the participant's home institution.
Applying for support:To apply for support, please provide the following material:
- One A4 page containing: Your name, your institution including the department (full address), the name and complete email address of your supervisor, a brief statement why you need support, and a short (five-line) summary of your research subject and project. In addition, you should include the amount of support required (in Euros). This letter (in pdf format) should be sent by email to: blum@fhi-berlin.mpg.de
- A
confidential reference letter by your supervisor should be sent directly by her/him to blum@fhi-berlin.mpg.de . - You should submit a contributed abstract to be eligible for financial support.
Any support requests must reach us before the registration deadline (May 15, 2012) has passed. A decision about support requests will be made very shortly after this date.
