Application for Participation
The deadline to apply for participation is April 23, 2019.
Please apply for participation in this summer school by filling out the form below. Application does not yet indicate acceptance to attend the meeting. Information regarding acceptance will be sent to all applicants soon after the registration deadline has passed. Payment information for the conference fee will be given together with the acceptance messages.
The conference fee includes accommodation, conference costs, coffee breaks, breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. The current estimates of the conference fee are based on the up to now secured funding:
- with accommodation for 11 nights in single rooms with individual bathrooms: 1090 EUR
- without accommodation: 550 EUR
PLEASE NOTE: Conference fees represent the current best estimate and may still slightly change. Final information will be provided latest with the acceptance notice in May 2019.
If you book without accommodation, we will still offer you contact details and eventually a discount voucher for the meeting hotel/guesthouse.
PLEASE NOTE: for a complete application we ask you to arrange for two further items (see the conference web site for further information):
- Please submit an abstract (for a poster presentation). The poster session is meant as a basis for scientific discussions that are relevant to the participants' plans. We realize that many of our participants may not have final results from a scientific project yet. Preliminary plans, ideas, and also former projects are absolutely welcome. Please use the email address which you used during the registration application in order to submit your abstract. Submit abstract here.
- Please also make sure that a confidential letter of support by your current supervisor reaches our conference secretary (dft2019@fhi-lists.de). This letter should be sent DIRECTLY by the supervisor, not by anyone else. If this is not possible for any reason, please contact us directly.

We will use these items to make the selection of participants as fair as possible in case we receive more applications than we have room for at the meeting.
The number of participants is limited to about 60.
Payment method will be possible by bank transfer to our account in Germany. Payment information will be sent out with the acceptance messages in May 2019.
